We met online. We got got engaged in Crete 2014 on Spinalonga which we had wanted to visit after reading the book The Island by Victoria Hislop
We both love the beach and after doing much research we found Crear which looked perfect. Joyce is Scottish and got very emotional and knew we had found our dream wedding venue. It was Joyce's 60th birthday the day before our wedding and she wanted to be in Scotland for it so we decided to celebrate both together.
We hoped Crear would be everything we had read about and looked at photos online, but it surpassed that from the moment we arrived until the moment we left , everything was taken care of. A special mention to Jean who made us the scrummiest soup and loaf of bread and looked after us so well whilst staying at Crear.
Crear came up trumps with everything either via email or a phone call "thank you"
Our wedding day was just so relaxed and happy just as we had hoped it would be. We feel that a lot of that was down to the beautiful surroundings and the sun shone on us the whole day.
We had both wanted very casual clothing for the wedding and are both flip flop girls in the summer. By pure chance we managed to get our outfits to co ordinate in colours and all our friends have subsequently commented on how vibrant we look in our wedding photos. Craig you did us proud and produced some amazing photos of our special day.
We would advise other couples to enjoy your day and the beautiful surroundings will only emphasis your happiness.
Sue and Joyce are now Mrs J and Mrs S E Milowe - a blend of their maiden names Milne and Rowe.
They changed their surname by deed pole which if you research properly, is straight forward. After deed pole confirmation, letters are formatted out to agencies where the name change is required.
Sue and Joyce found the process initially quite daunting but wasn't as bad as they had thought. Shona Brechin, our lovely registrar for Argyll and Bute was very helpful in this too ....
