Brian had the ring for at least 6 months. He was nervous and wasn't sure if it was too soon to ask me. I was away on a summer job and he missed me. So, he drove down on his motorcycle to see me, got down on one knee, opened the box and looked up at me. I said "Is there something you want to ask me?" And then he proposed.
We knew we wanted to elope, but in a special way. We saw that eloping started in Scotland and Brian has Scottish ancestry. We found your website and it just seemed beautiful, unique and perfect. All we needed to do was show up!
We wanted no stress and a lot of love and that is exactly what we got. The day was beautiful. We were surrounded by a few close friends and family - no drama. Everyone at Crear made it so easy. It was truly a fairytale day that we will remember the rest of our lives. We still laugh that we walked through a sheep pasture to get married...a metaphor for life, I guess.
We loved both! Both of us have traveled to many places, but Scotland was the first place we went together. We rented a car and made an adventure of it. One of our favourite castles to visit was Doune Castle and it wasn't even on our itinerary. The car allowed us some freedom once we got used to the roads and driving on the other side. Brian especially loved the old taverns and pubs. It isn't often we can sit in a place that is over 400 years old and have a pint.
Your wedding day should be about you as a couple. Not about 100's of guests that you don't even know personally. Both Brian and I had been married before and we knew that we didn't want anything big to takeover our day and stress us out. That is why the Wee Wedding was so perfect for us. We could focus on each other and enjoy the day.
