How to plan your stress free Wee Wedding
Your non-refundable deposit of £750 confirms your wee wedding dates in the Crear diary on receipt of your booking letter.
The next step is to book a celebrant for your wedding ceremony. If your celebrant is unable to attend at the time & date agreed with us, please liaise with us before confirming your final plans.
You will also need to contact our local registry office in Lochgilphead regarding all your legal paperwork & visa requirements if required to enter the UK to marry.
You may submit your paperwork by post up to three months prior to your wedding date however the Registrars in Scotland require a minimum of 29 days notice. (Please note there is no requirement to contact the Registrar where you live.)
If you require witnesses for your marriage ceremony, please put Crear on your paperwork & we will confirm with the registrar nearer the time who they will be.
If you have chosen a Civil ceremony with the Registrar, the Registrar conducting your marriage will bring your paperwork on the day.
For religious marriages including Humanist, you are required to collect your marriage paperwork in person from the Lochgilphead Registry Office during office hours.
We will give you a call eight weeks prior to your arrival to finalise all the details of your day including your choice of wedding flowers & if you would like to order a cake.
Before you arrive we require an emergency contact number if it's just the two of you and contact details of your guests if family and friends are invited. It's also very helpful to know if you or your guests have food or feather allergies.
The final balance is payable in full six weeks prior to arrival.
Please arrange your hair and make up directly. The Crear personal recommendation would be Louise at Salon 66.
Caisealrag Cottage & Crear House are fully equipped to self cater with everything you need for your wee wedding including an iron & ironing board, hairdryers, towels & a washing machine.
